Video Surveillance

Optiglow offers Wireless cameras, HD quality, motion, and infrared detection with remote cloud-based connectivity with DVR and streaming video  feeds to your smartphone.  A recent survey * shows a strong resurgence in IP-based video surveillance solutions with commercial office locations now outpacing hospital and school locations, the once-dominant market verticals. Additionally, IP-based solutions once the sweet spot for high-camera-count deployments are seeing significant growth in smaller installations displacing traditional CCTV applications. The 11-20 camera deployments now figure for half of the installs in the market. Why? You can't ignore the wireless network backhaul of video combined with cloud-based smartphone and desktop access to streaming video . Add the ability to record video and images triggered by a security breach and receive email notifications. Best of all, these systems are easier than ever to configure and manage. While video surveillance has historically created a record of a security breach, today's solutions are providing a-pound-of-cure as a deterrent. Recently, the hottest feature added to the video surveillance game is the ability to communicate with the secure site once an intruder or security breach has been detected. One-and then two-way audio solutions have created the virtual security guard communicating both recorded and live audio. It's remarkable how effective a simple recorded message such as "Access is prohibited; This site is under video surveillance; or Police have been dispatched" is at stopping a perpetrator in their tracks. Additionally, the two-way systems can serve as an unmanned control point, allowing friendly access by communicating both video and two-way confirmation . More recently a new twist has been added...one that adds yet another element to your purchase decision and even more security.  The addition of high-powered, high-efficiency LED lighting to existing video and two-way communications has created a new chapter in video surveillance. In hindsight, it seems simple. Adding the latest in LED lighting technology with HD video and audio has created the ultimate in unmanned video surveillance  applications. From parking lots and equipment yards, to cell sites and remote industrial applications, the combination of high-efficiency LED lighting (for which operating costs are a fraction of traditional lighting solutions) with high-value video surveillance is changing the game. This combination of surveillance technology changes the ROI model. Your return is not only the value of deterring theft and vandalism, but the real dollar utility savings from LED technology. Existing  video surveillance systems , can be upgraded and the cost barriers to entry are being mitigated by technology and solutions that drive strong ROI.

I have been looking for some wireless cameras for my building, as an alternative to CCTV. If these will be more than satisfactory, as they also allow the footage to be streamed to my smartphone, which is a great way to see what is happening around your building even when you are not at the monitors.

I should really look into getting wireless cameras to monitor the outside of my building. The current CCTV system in place is out of date, and we have noticed that more recently it has proven less reliable than we would like. Perhaps it is about time we looked to more advanced and reliable ways of approaching things. Thanks for the info.
